“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Psalm 127: 2-5

Infants, children, and youth are to be seen as a blessing from God. They are our future. They are our inheritors, they are the ones who will be left after everyone else has passed. Just as a runner passes off a torch in a relay race, so are we as a church, handing off the light of God from generation to generation. It is important for the church to think in intergenerational terms, placing value in the youngest among us!
